 With so much forest there is the opportunity to experience nature close up in Sunset Country. Nature trails are the best way to do it. Walk with your group along the lake and see white pelicans feeding near the bridge. Look at the forest's succession from the floor to the top of the trees. Life abounds in these woods. You have the opportunity to come across birds and other animals on the trail. Bring your camera to record all the fun. Nature photographers will find many interesting landscapes and subjects to photograph. Trail systems are available in several communities across the region. Provincial Parks also have nature trail networks. Guided tours are available in some Provincial Parks during the summer months. Trail maps are also available for some systems. Local tourist bureaus often have these maps available free of charge. |
